Women’s MMA Rising In Popularity

It seems that several female fighters were able to raise over $5000 by auctioning off their sports bras on ebay, recently.

UFC Champion Ronda Rousey’s bra raked in $810, while RingGirl/CalendarGirl Arianny Celeste’s sold for $449. Felice Herrig took third with $405 and Rowdy Bec Hyatt closed out the top 4 with a bid of $355.

I guess you can really gauge fighter popularity by how much someone is willing to pay for an article of clothing that held their jumblies in place.  Imagine how much money could have been raised if they auctioned off Cris “Cyborg” Santos’ jock strap.

In my mind’s eye, Urijah Faber won all the auctions and he contemplates growing his hair back out, cornrowing it, and trying to take on Rousey for the crown.  I’d still give her 5-1 odds.
