Go See Gran Torino

Gran Torino is probably the most poignantly and hilariously racist movie I’ve ever seen. If you thought Jack Nicholson was crotchety in As Good As It Gets give that guy a gun and a couple dozen reasons to be angry.

Jess and I saw it on Saturday and loved it. Considering the movie made 29 Million this weekend, a lot of other people can probably say the same thing. Since they gave it a limited release in December I’m sure they’ll be pushing for a 2008 Oscar Nomination, however, all I can say is that this is one of the best movies I’ve seen in quite a few years, and definitely the best one I’ve seen in 2009, be she only 12 days old.
