Homeless Man Sentenced to 10 Years Homeness-ness.

CINCINNATI —  A homeless man in Cincinnati accused of attacking a woman who appeared to be sleepwalking has pleaded guilty to charges of rape and felonious assault and has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Fifty-three-year-old Dexer Ford initially was charged with kidnapping, felonious assault, attempted rape and two counts of rape, carrying a maximum prison sentence of 46 years in prison. His trial was to begin Tuesday.

Prosecutors say the 24-year-old victim is a severe epileptic who sometimes seems confused after an intense seizure. Witnesses told police in November that they saw Ford assault the woman while she was walking near Interstate 71 in Cincinnati.

Ford has been diagnosed with schizophrenia and is HIV positive.

Man, that takes some balls.  Big homeless schizophrenic balls.  It’s just a shame that a woman had to be raped by an HIV-Positive Schizophrenic Homeless person for that man to get the help and care that he needs.  Now, he gets ten years of housing, medical care, and I don’t think anyone is going to try and rape the HIV-ridden homeless guy.

Sadly, I don’t think there’s a silver lining to the woman’s situation.  Here’s hoping she didn’t contract the virus.

  1. Let’s hope the woman gets the care she needs as well.

  2. There’s really no upside to the woman’s story.

  3. Yikes, a mental patient that has HIV, a ticking time bomb? 😦
