I live in AZ and this has happened to me the last two years when the weather changes from deathly hot in the summer to cooler weather in the fall and winter. I wear shoes a lot less in the summer and there air itself is super dry. Therefor its obvious the problem surrounds the ventalation and dryness of your feet.
